Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: May 2, 2026 | Last Updated: May 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ALIGN (the "Tool"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you (the "User") and the creator and operator of ALIGN. They apply to all current and future versions of ALIGN unless otherwise specified. Continued use following any posted updates constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Description of Service
ALIGN is an AI-assisted instructional design tool available in multiple versions, including but not limited to ALIGN V4. It is built to support teachers and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) in developing standards-aligned lesson plans. The Tool operates on the ALIGN framework — Analyze, Lock, Initiate, Gather, Norm — and leverages large language model (LLM) technology to generate suggested lesson structures, instructional strategies, and curriculum scaffolding.
3. Eligibility & Authorized Use
ALIGN is intended for use by:
- Licensed educators and instructional coaches
- School administrators and curriculum coordinators
- Professional Learning Community (PLC) members
- Authorized district or campus personnel
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Tool. Use by or on behalf of students under the age of 13 is strictly prohibited without documented parental or guardian consent and institutional authorization.
4. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- The accuracy, appropriateness, and legality of all content you input into the Tool
- Reviewing, verifying, and professionally evaluating all AI-generated outputs before use in an educational setting
- Ensuring that use of the Tool complies with your institution's policies and applicable laws
- Maintaining the confidentiality of any access credentials or account information
You agree not to input personally identifiable information (PII) about students, including names, student ID numbers, grades, or other protected information, into the Tool.
5. AI-Generated Content
All outputs produced by ALIGN are AI-generated suggestions. They are not professional legal, psychological, medical, or therapeutic advice and should not be treated as such.
AI-generated lesson plans, assessments, and instructional strategies are provided for professional reference only. Outputs may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or content that is not appropriate for a specific classroom context.
Users bear full professional responsibility for reviewing, adapting, and approving any AI-generated content prior to implementation with students. The Tool is a collaborative aid — not a replacement for professional educator judgment.
6. Intellectual Property
All content generated by ALIGN in response to your inputs may be used by you for educational, non-commercial purposes. You retain ownership of the specific inputs you provide.
The ALIGN framework, interface design, branding, all associated versions, and underlying system prompts are the intellectual property of their respective creators and may not be reproduced, reverse-engineered, or redistributed without written permission.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use ALIGN to:
- Generate content intended to harass, demean, or discriminate against any individual or group
- Input protected student data or confidential personnel information
- Circumvent or attempt to override the Tool's content guidelines or safety measures
- Reproduce or distribute the Tool's framework for commercial gain without authorization
- Use the Tool in ways that violate FERPA, COPPA, or other applicable education privacy laws
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying model or system prompts
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
ALIGN is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Tool will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated outputs will meet any specific standard of accuracy or quality.
We expressly disclaim any warranty that the Tool's outputs are free from bias, culturally appropriate for all populations, or aligned with any specific curriculum framework, state standards, or institutional requirements without User review.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the creators and operators of ALIGN shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Tool, including damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.
Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid, if any, to access the Tool in the thirty (30) days preceding the claim.
10. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue ALIGN — or any version or portion of it — at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms periodically. Continued use following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Georgia.
